Mom Tri‘s Boathouse appoints new Executive Chef Maître Cuisinier de France Chef Jean-Noël Lumineau

Mom Tri’s Boathouse is proud to announce the appointment of Thailand’s only Maître Cuisinier de France, Chef Jean-Noël Lumineau, as the Boathouse Wine & Grill’s executive chef.
Chef Lumineau earned his distinction as Maître Cuisinier de France, an elite group of the most famous chefs in the world with about 700 members worldwide, more than 13 years ago.
For over 25 years Chef Lumineau was renowned as executive chef at the Gault-Millau and Michelin-star rated Château- Hôtel Le Prieuré in the Loire Valley in Anjou, France.
He was executive consultant at all of Mom Tri’s restaurants (www.momtriphuket.com) for the past two years prior to his recent appointment as executive chef for the Boathouse Wine & Grill exclusively.
Chef Tummanoon appointed as Mom Tri’s Food Director in Chiang Mai
Boathouse executive chef for almost 20 years, Chef Tummanoon Punchun, is now appointed as executive Food Director of an exciting new venture in Chiang Mai, part of Mom Tri’s project the PTIS IB International School and The Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning (www.threegeneration.org). The Boathouse and Guests will miss Chef Tummanoon’s outstanding cooking skills and winning smile and we wish him all the best with this new challenge.
Chef Lumineau is dedicated to continuing with the Boathouses reputation for the finest food and wine and developing new, creative recipes.
The popular Boathouse weekend cooking classes will be held as usual from 10:00 – 14:00 hrs with Chef Rattana Pholtaisong, Boathouse sous-chef. Chef Rattana has been working at the Boathouse since 1990 and has been a regular assistant to Chef Tummanoon in the kitchen and classroom.
A multiple award-winning restaurant with a magnificent wine cellar and spectacular seafront view the Boathouse Wine & Grill has been honoured with Wine Spectator awards since 1995. This August yet again, the Boathouse was distinguished with the even more prestigious ‘Best of Awards of Excellence’, as the only establishment in Thailand for the fifth consecutive year.
Mom Tri’s Boathouse, Phuket Thailand, is the creation of renowned Thai architect, entrepreneur and artist Mom Luang Tridhosyuth Devakul known as Mom Tri. Favourite with discriminating visitors it appears on numerous lists of the world’s best small hotels. The Boathouse Wine & Grill has been distinguished with Wine Spectator Awards since 1995 and has won the sole Best of Award of Excellence in Thailand since 2006.
